Newsletter- May- Where did it Go?
The first five months of 2019, that is!
With June fast approaching — it is time to ……Revisit the goals set in January
and organize your efforts in order to accomplish those goals.
What were the goals you set for yourself or your company for 2019? ThegoalsthatwerewrittendowninJanuary! Gofindthatpieceofpaper/note book/etc — because NOW is the time to review your goals and decide on a plan of action, if you have not already made one. It requires an organized system to accomplish anything.
Start your day with a task
These expectations can be in the form of tasks that are most pressing or what you want to fulfill for the day. The idea is that you can use the day as a means of creating themes for the day.
Have someone or something keep you on track
1. You either are incredibly self-reliant that you trust yourself to keep yourself focused; or
2. You find someone you trust and make them your accountability partner.
The first one is tough to do as even the most self motivated individuals can have slump days. They’re even more prominent early on.
Ideally your accountability partner is someone who is familiar with your type of work.
Use a “to-do” list
Even if you have apps and other reminders, write down your goals, daily tasks, and priorities. Furthermore, keep what you wrote nearby and in sight or refer to it several times during the day. It’s simple, but it’s different since we rely so much on technology to give us reminders. Writing adds a more personal and permanent touch to it.
